31 Days of Thanks: Day 14

To Elizabeth Kramer, the woman behind The Courier Journal Arts Bureau blog. Thank you for answering your phone that morning in July during the third round of the cover contest, for listening to my story, for blogging about my quest, but more importantly, for instilling in me the desire to have my artwork featured on the cover of a national magazine not because it won a contest, but because it deserves to be there. It will be one day. When it is, I will be calling you...

To my theater family near and far. Special thanks to the singers, musicians, stagehands, and production team of the Cincinnati Opera’s Der Rosenkavalier, for all of your support during the second round of The Crafts Report cover contest. This was the second year for The Crafts Report cover contest. I was guilty. I saw the call for entries last year and thought about entering, but I did not make the time to enter the contest and let the opportunity pass by. Last year an awesome fiber artist friend of mine, Kent Epler of The Laughing Boy, entered, was selected, and made it to the final round. Kent was not the ultimate winner but did an amazing job. I knew that winning was possible and when I saw the call for entries this past May for the second contest I was all in! Thank you Kent for inspiring me to enter the contest in the first...
