31 Days of Thanks: Day 18

To all my friends and family who “liked” my Crafts Report cover contest photos, forwarded my emails, shared the links, or in any other way promoted the contest. I can’t thank you enough! Team Pamela Rocks!!! To the people who told me they do not often forward emails or “like” things on Facebook or ask their friends to do things like this, but did it because it was me. Thank you! And to all of my Facebook friends for not unfriending me because of my hourly and sometimes half-hourly Facebook posts. Thank you! I tried to keep them entertaining in true Pamela fashion....

31 Days of Thanks: Day 12

To everyone at The James House B & B… A.K.A. the Round One headquarters for my cover contest campaign. Thank you so much for your hospitality! I began the day thinking I would send out an email, post a few Facebook messages throughout the day, and go about my little get away enjoying my vacation. It quickly morphed into a campaign that would rival that of any highly publicized political race. Glued to my computer, spreading the word, posting hourly and sometimes half hourly Facebook posts and appealing to any group or affiliation I could think to appeal to. By the end of the night I had received a warning from Facebook saying it believed I was using Facebook for methods other than which it was intended. I called it quits for the night knowing I had done about all I could do, got about three hours sleep before the excitement and anticipation kicked in again, and campaigned for a few more hours before the voting ended. Thanks again James family for the yummy meals, the relaxing get away (when I wasn’t a nervous wreck trying to campaign), and of course your...

31 Days of Thanks: Day 10

If it wasn’t for The Crafts Report magazine and the cover contest, I would not have had the opportunity to embark on this amazing journey I have been on the past five months. Thank you to The Crafts Report for selecting my artwork to be one of thirty-two finalists across the nation in the running to be featured on the cover of the October issue. It has been an incredible experience! Special thanks to Travis and Stephanie for all of their hard work as...

Celebrate DyeSigns By Pamela, Inc. Month

A lot has happened in the past four months! I was chosen to be one of thirty-two quarter-finalists to compete in a national competition to have my artwork featured on the cover of The Crafts Report, a monthly business magazine for the crafts professional. I advanced to all three rounds of the contest thanks to the overwhelming support of Team Pamela and finished first runner up. I launched a Twitter account. Follow me @DyeSigns_Pamela. I was featured on the cover of The Courier-Journal Neighborhoods section and had my photograph taken by a photography legend, Bill Luster, who has twice been the recipient of the team Pulitzer Prize Award and who has photographed nine sitting US Presidents… and now me! I have become an international artist with my scarves now available at Framing Dames, a gallery in Toronto, Canada. I have reached over 300 fans on my Facebook page. You too can become a fan at www.facebook.com/DyeSignsByPamela. I have revamped my website and have a fabulous new logo! Check them out at www.DyeSignsByPamela.com. As you are now reading, I have begun a blog. I have a fabulous feature coming out in the October issue of The Crafts Report magazine. And as if all of that wasn’t enough, Mayor Greg Fischer has proclaimed the entire month of October 2013 to be “DyeSigns By Pamela, Inc. Month” in Louisville, Kentucky. Talk about warp speed and non-stop excitement! But it is all good. So welcome to my blog. I am glad you have found me. This is just the beginning. There are more great things to come, I am sure of it. Stay tuned! Pamela Mattei, President DyeSigns By Pamela,...
